News Flash! Or Should I Say, Flash News!

A couple weekends ago I got my early birthday gift: Canon Speedlite 430 EX II Flash.  This goes on my Canon Rebel XSi.  You may have noticed some of my pictures in the past are not so awesome.  As a working mom, I have little day-time to work on cakes, so most of my cake photos are taken in my kitchen at night.  Poor lighting = bad photos.  But now, no more!  I can use my flash to bounce light off the walls and ceiling to create seemingly ambient light.  I look forward to photographing all my sweet creations so they can be preserved long after the last slice has been eaten.
